Hello!

My name is Talia Holmes. I am 18 years old and I am from New Jersey. Growing up, my parents have always stressed to me the importance of loving your career. When I first began thinking about college and what I wanted my career to be, I decided to make a list of things that I love to help me decipher what I wanted to study in school. Based on my list, I found that fashion is what I am most passionate about. This was no surprise to me since I have grown up learning about fashion from my mother and grandmother. My grandmother studied at FIT and my mom shares the same passion as I do. I love that I share this common bond with my family, the people that matter most to me.

Now, I am currently a freshman at Marist College, majoring in fashion merchandising. I am so happy to be here and I am hopeful to one day pursue a career in the industry!

This blog serves many purposes for me. My blog is a space for me to express myself and share some of my favorite life experiences. It also serves as a place for me to post a portfolio of my work from my Communications Digital Toolbox class. This is class where students learn how to work Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Premiere Pro, and Game Star. This is a very useful class for all students since it provides them with skills that will help them stand out amongst others.
